Special Interest Group
To provide successful long-term women business owners a forum to exchange ideas, socialize and provide peer support.
To help the Chicago Area Chapter of NAWBO recruit and retain successful, long-term business owners.
1. To have stimulating speakers on pertinent topics of interest to the group.
2. To allow members to share business problems and concerns with others who may have had similar experiences.
3. To provide mutual support in all aspects of the life of a women business owner.
WHO - NAWBO members whose companies are more than 7 years old and have overhead and employees and are engaged in non-competitive businesses.
WHAT - Facilitated meetings held first Thursday of Month every other month starting in February 2014. Yearly calendar is set up at the first meeting of each year and the meeting host position is rotated.
WHERE - Meetings are held at the East Bank Club from 5:30-8:00 P.M>
WHY - Women business owners with well-established businesses have different issues than the new business owners.
HOW - Regularly scheduled, closed meetings provide an opportunity for the sharing of information, trade secrets and other vital topics.
