Event Summary and Explanation The Roundtable Networking Event is a simple, structured way to increasing inter-business awareness, sales, and publicity. The Event begins with everyone being seated at tables that are set for seven people each. After a brief greeting and introduction from the hosts, the first round or session of networking begins. In order of seating, each person at the table gets three minutes to introduce themselves, pass out business cards, and give a quick summary of what they do and are looking for. Then, time permitting, there may be a brief question and answer discussion between those seated at each table. That ends the first session. After this brief period, the attendees are instructed to open up an envelope placed on their tables. Inside are pieces of paper on which are written the numbers of the tables. Each attendee randomly chooses a paper and thenp roceeds to move to that table. Then a second session of networking begins, following the same method as the first session. Upon the end of the second session, the hosts will give a final thanks and announcements. If they wish to do so, the attendees may stay for a final third session. This final session is open networking, meaning a person may approach and talk to whom ever they wish. The return on investment is both immediate and residual. The contacts made at the Event will immediately open up new leads and opportunities to expand business. Over time these same contacts will continue to make new leads and expand the network open to business. In the end, the Event will expand possibilities and open up opportunities that otherwise might be hidden or unknown, making it well worth any investment a person puts into it.
